========================================================================
====MISSION 1 - "Toward the north, the hunter of dark blood
will realize his
destiny."
========================================================================
====
At the start, you will get an extremely cool cut scene of Dante
leaping off
of a cathedral. From the start, go right up the small set of steps,
breaking
the statues for orbs along the way. When you see a small tower
you can go
through the door, drop down, and run to the end of the corridor
to obtain
a medium sized orb. Next, go down the path and leap over the wall
and continue
down the path, you can also get some orbs by jumping up the small
protrusions
in the face of the cliff. You can take a right and get the medium
sized orb
on the edge of the bus halfway hanging off of the cliff, or you
can go left.
When you go left you will get a small cut scene that introduces
the first
enemies in the game, the Agonofinis. Dispose of them with whatever
means
possible, I usually use the Rebellion sword on them. Continue
down the path
collection all the orbs possible, when you get inside the village
at the
intersection you will be given yet another cut scene introducing
a new enemy,
the Puia. You will probably want to use your guns to dispose of
them, since
they are flying creatures. After that you can collect all of the
orbs in
the area. After that take a left at the intersection. When you
get to the
end you must jump over the wall to get to the other side, or you
can use the
rooftops, there will be more of the Agonofinis enemies here also.
Go up the
steps and collect the yellow orb. You will get a cut scene of
a reddish barrier
that has been suddenly been constructed, this means you have to
kill all of
the enemies to pass. After the battle, proceed down the steps
to the Time
statue, the Time statue will provide a station to buy items and
upgrades from
throughout the game. Keep running down the path and you will get
a cut scene
of a hole on the wall. You need to jump through that hole. In
here you will
get a cut scene that introduces yet another enemy, the Msira.
They usually
attack in packs so it is best to keep your distance from them.
After you
have destroyed all of them, a key will drop. Take the key and
use it on the
iron bar door on the wall opposite from the pillar and the broken
stairs.
Continue down this path and go through the blue door at the end.
In here,
you can smash the poles on the rooftops for orbs if you want to.
From the
blue door, go down the path until you get to an intersection containing
three
paths, one you just came from and one that leads around to an
orb dispenser
(an orb dispenser is like a floating round ball, when you hit
is it will give
you orbs). Take the path that is almost directly across the path
that you
were on. You will encounter another intersection, take the path
with the
red orbs on it. When you reach the gate you will be given a cut
scene of
Lucia and the house will get blown up. End of mission 1....
========================================================================
====Mission 2 - "The aerial heart will give the hunter the
chance to reach
the skies."
========================================================================
====
You will be given a cut scene that introduces a new character
named Matier,
she will instruct you to go to the harbor through a set of passages.
From
the start go down the steps and you will see a section of the
wall that has
a face in it, hit it enough times and it will break. Go down the
steps after
you break it. This next passage will have holes in the floor that
you cannot
see; you will fall in them when you step on them so be careful.
Follow the
passage with water on the floor until you see a face, break it,
go down the
path and at the end there will be a medium sized orb waiting for
you as well
as some Agonofinis. Backtrack to the main water hallway and keep
following
it until you see the next face, break it, and there will be an
orb dispenser
at the end of the hallway. Backtrack yet again to the hallway
and break the
last face and the end of the hallway. When you break it a section
of the
wall will slide away and you will have to fight some Flambats.
Go right from
where you broke the face into the next room, there will be another
face at
the end, break it. Another section of the wall will slide away;
there is
nothing much inside this room except for a hole in the floor that
has some
orbs in it. On the opposite side of the room where you broke the
face there
will be a door, go in it. In here there will be a bunch of blue
tiles on
the floor, check the door and it will say that you have to light
a blue flame.
After that a yellow tile will appear in the center of all of the
blue ones,
step on it. You must destroy all of the blue orbs that rise up.
After that
just walk through the door. Now go down the path into another
room with water
on the floor. There are also holes in here that contain Pyromancers.
There
are three faces in here, two make walls slide while the other
one has a hall
behind it that contains a blue crystal, you must hit the blue
crystal enough
times to make the hand disappear. After the hand is destroyed
go through
the door. In this room there will be a Devil Trigger recharge
station as
well as some Agonofinis. After the Agonofinis are destroyed Pyromancers
will appear, kill them. After they are gone two Goatlings will
appear, kill
these also. After they are gone the barrier around the Aerial
heart will
disappear and you can obtain it. Now you might want to recharge
in the Devil
Trigger station. Equip the aerial heart and Devil Trigger. Now
just keep
tapping X to fly up until you see a hall, go in it. End of mission
2.....
========================================================================
====Mission 3 - "The key to the next journey begins and end
with death."
========================================================================
====
At the start go down the path, once you reach the end of it you
can either
take the path to the north or the path to the south. The path
to the south
contains some Agonofinis and a glimpse of the towers that you
will see a lot
of later. To the north you will get a cut scene of a long path
and a flying
Goatling. The Goatling can cast blue flames under your feet, so
you will
have to be quick to dodge them, there will also be numerous Agonofinis
down
the path. Ignore the Agonofinis and go straight for the Goatling.
After
he is dead proceed through the door that the hand was guarding
(it is right
next to the Goatling's original position). In here you will be
given a cut
scene that introduces the first boss....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----BOSS - Orangguerra
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
This boss will jump at you from above, look for its shadow to
see when you
will need to dodge. When you get close to it, it will try to grab
you, do
an overhead smash, or swipe at you with one arm, all of these
can be dodged
by jumping or dodging. When you shorten his health a bit some
Msira will
come and try to help him. Also he will occasionally cast a ball
of air at
you, very unfriendly air, you can either jump or dodge to the
side, he will
usually cast these when you are at a distance. After he is dead
the hand
that was guarding the door will disappear and he will leave a
key that unlocks
a door.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Go back up the path a little bit, hardly not even that far, and
you will see
a white door with two red orbs beside it. Use the key on this
door to unlock
it. End of mission 3.....
========================================================================
====Mission 4 - "She has many arms but only one heart, as
she waits for the
hunter deep in the water."
========================================================================
====
Proceed down the path until you reach an intersection, you can
get the red
orbs on both ledges. One is up in the air and one is by the lamppost
at the
intersection. You can take the southern path and get the red orb
that is
above the door, then go and take the northern path. There will
be a lot of
Msira here, after you have disposed of them, destroy the barricaded
entrance
by hitting it enough times. Follow the path, congratulations,
you have now
reached the harbor, you can get the orbs on the side of the cliff
and on the
tops of the small buildings on your left. Follow the path until
you get to
a door with an orb with an up side down pyramid beneath it, go
through the
door. Kill all of the Agonofinis in here and the door on the second
floor
with the hand guarding it will be disposed of. In this room there
will be
a Time statue and the quick heart, there is also a gold orb at
the top of
this room. After you have acquired the quick heart; backtrack
to the orb
with the up side down pyramid. Hit it and it will raise a gate
that is on
the lower level of the harbor, kind of like this....
-------------------------------
Orb
| | |
| | |
| | |
| | |
| | |<--- Gate
| | |
| | |
Equip the quick heart and hit the orb, you must run to the gate
before it
closes. After you are through go through the door at the end of
the bridge...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Jokatglum
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
She has four tentacles that she will try to hit you with, as well
as breathing
poison. To evade the tentacles just jump when they do a sweep
and dodge when
they try to smash you, you can do a left or right dodge, if you
get too close
to them they will coil up and hit you so it is best to stay away
and hit them
with your guns. When you kill one of them and have enough Devil
Trigger,
jump up to the main tentacle with the head and slash away, when
you're out
of Devil Trigger just jump back and repeat. She may also generate
a type
of force field so when she does this just stay away, she usually
does this
after you hit her a couple of times. After she is dead collect
all of the
orbs and you go into the area with the motorcycle. You will get
a cool cut
scene of Dante driving to the city with the motorcycle. End of
mission 4....
========================================================================
====Mission 5 - "Close to your eyes, but far-off in your
mind, the hunter
must learn the value of options."
========================================================================
====
From here proceed up the road a little ways until a barrier forms.
You will
have to fight two wolves named Freki and Geri, I do not consider
them to be
too hard, just plink away with your guns and keep moving. After
they are
destroyed you will view a cut scene which foreshadows a future
boss, Bolverk.
Keep moving up the road and you will get another glimpse of the
massive tower.
When you reach the wide-open space a barrier will form and you
will be forced
to fight some Blood Goats and Puias. After they are gone go through
the tunnel
that the barrier was guarding. Proceed down the curved path, and
an enemy
will make a second appearance....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Orangguerra, fight 2
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Same exact strategy. Just watch out for the nearby Homromsiras.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
After the battle leap over the propane truck. You will now get
a cut scene
that introduces the Infested Tanks. The best thing to do is to
get right
up next to it and bash it with your sword, watch out for incoming
fire from
the two other nearby tanks. After the first one go for the next
one, it will
be much easier because the other tank cannot hit you. After that
one, go
dispose of the final tank. Next, proceed up the curved on-ramp
until you
get to the section of it that is broken. Fall down into the broken
part and
you'll be behind the some of the wreckage you may have seen earlier.
To the
right there is some fence, there is a section of the fence that
is broken,
go through here. At the left side of this room there will be the
offence
heart. After you have the offence heart run back out and jump
over the
wreckage. Follow the road straight ahead, ignoring the on-ramp
to your right.
When you get near the end of the path a cut scene will appear
and will introduce
to you the next boss....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----BOSS- Infested Chopper
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
The main strategy is to dodge its machine gun attacks, you can
do this by
standing under the chopper. When it unleashes its heat-seeking
missiles,
you can either deftly dodge them or you can target them and shoot
them, either
way works. After you have damaged the chopper enough that it has
fled, go
into the hole in the building. In here, you don't even have to
fight the
chopper, just keep jumping up and up and up the many platforms
until you reach
the stairs to the roof. Once on the roof you can either run to
the helipad
and run off of it to the building below, or you can fight it again,
if you
want to its the same strategy, just be much more careful of its
machine gun
attacks. After that, Dante will jump onto the opposite roof, jump
up onto
the top of the building and you'll get a small cut scene showing
what you
need to do. Go to the opposite side of the roof and jump onto
the small ledge,
just keep jumping up until you get to the roof, there is no danger
of falling
because there is a fire-escape below you. Once on the roof you
must jump
to the rooftop below, just follow the orbs and you should be ok.
Next you
must scale the brown building in front of you. Just jump up the
platforms
like before, but watch out for the Puias. At the top it's the
final battle
with the chopper, exact same strategy. After you kill it its the
end of
mission 5, oh another cool thing I found out was that if you stand
on top
of the plus shaped structures on the roof you can get an AWESOME
view of the
city.
========================================================================
====
Mission 6 - "Its extremities reach the sky. Its intestines
reflect the color
of darkness. Its name means a tower of misery."
========================================================================
====
From the start walk into the big open area by where you fought
the Blood Goats
and Puias to destroy the barrier surround the tunnel you needed
to get
through. You will be given a cut scene that displays the power
of the next
boss.....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Nefasturris
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
When he does his white beam that shoots out of his mouth from
side to side,
you can either jump or stay on the ground, depending on what level
off of
the ground he makes the sweep. Occasionally he will also send
a pack of
Flambats at you, the best thing to do is ignore them and concentrate
on the
main head. When he fires about 50 lasers from his mouth in all
directions,
the best thing to do is just jump straight up or dodge to the
left or right.
After he is gone, his head will fall off and you will encounter
the next
boss....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Nefascapitis
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
When it fires around 50 lasers from its mouth again, just get
to the side
of its head, that way he won't be able to hit you no matter what.
When it
fires little white balls of flame just dodge from side to side
and you
shouldn't have a problem. When he fires blue bars of electricity
that sweep
towards you, just jump over them if they are on the ground, and
stay on the
ground if they are above you, this also works for the diagonal
and vertical
beams as well. End of mission 6....
========================================================================
====Mission 7 - "A meeting of power shall end in conflict."
========================================================================
====
From the start follow the hallway and go down the stairs, there
will be some
Homomsira in here. Next, jump up to the top part of the other
side of the
room, you should see a pipe suspended in mid-air. Jump onto it
and Dante
will begin to slide. When you land on the stairs, go down them.
Head down
the path all the way until you reach the door, there will also
be Puia in
this area that will occasionally dive bomb you. Once through the
door, begin
the long decent down to the bottom, watch out Specters along the
way, the
best thing to do is to ignore them and all other enemies. Once
down at the
bottom, skip the door that you will see and head for the Devil
Trigger recharge
station. After you have recharged, enter the gigantic cylinder,
equip the
aerial heart, and fly to the top to obtain the Flame heart. Once
you have
that, backtrack to the door that you saw just before the Devil
Trigger
recharge station. Once you go through the door, head to the bottom
of the
room where the lava is, you might also want to keep an eye out
for the Homomsira
and the Flambats. There will be a small platform in the middle
of the lave
stream on the side of one wall, leap onto it and go through the
door that
is there. In this room you can obtain Vendetta from the stretcher
with the
burn victim. Head back the way you came into the lava room. Go
to the right
side of the room and go up the flight of stairs to the top level,
there will
be a door there, go through it. There will be an elevator on the
opposite
side of the room, step on it and it will start descending. There
will also
be Flambats on the decent so be careful. At the bottom there will
be a couple
of Blood Goats, kill them. You will then see a train, enter it
through the
door opposite the elevator, it will take you to the Oil rig. You
must fight
some Msira and Terrofinis along the way. Once you have arrived,
jump on the
elevator across from where you exited, it will automatically start
to ascend.
You probably will also fight a multitude of Flambats along the
way. When
you are at the top, run up the stairs to the door. Mission 7 complete....
========================================================================
====Mission 8 - "The challenger shall arise while the king
evades"
========================================================================
====When the mission start you shall view a cut scene that introduces
Arius
for the first time. After he decides to leave he will summon Furiataurus,
a gigantic balrog, to deal with you.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----BOSS - Furiataurus
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
When he charges, just jump over his head, same thing if he decides
to create
a gust of flame with his hammer by hitting it on the ground when
you are close.
If he swings his hammer horizontally, just jump to avoid it. When
he creates
a whirlwind with his hammer just merely run away. After he hits
the pavement
it's the end of mission 8....
========================================================================
====Mission 9 - "The hunter will discover the purity of speed."
========================================================================
====
At the start, run back into the oil rig through the door you came
out of.
An alarm will start blaring and you will have 12 minutes to get
out. Run
down the stairs and jump down the elevator shaft. Then run back
along the
train tracks and take a right when the track splits, when you
come to the
end there will be a door on your right, go through it. In this
room go around
the little metal V platform and go through the door, the camera
angle makes
it almost impossible to see so run around and try to find it.
When you are
through, jump to the left out of the lava stream and jump up the
stairs. Go
through the door at the top. In here just run all the way up the
spiral,
go through the doors once you get to the top. In the next area
the camera
will show you three orbs that you will need to hit, once you have
hit all
three of them, go through the metal shutter. Once in here, go
to the opposite
side of the room and jump to the top, go through the door on the
upper catwalk.
Through here, run through the hallway to the white doors. In this
next room,
there is a powerful fan that will cut your running speed down
a bit, and a
plane, run to the back of the plane and you will see a hatch with
a walkway,
enter the plane. Once you enter it, it will start to move, now
leave the
plane. You will see that it has ran into the fan, just walk in-between
the
blades to escape. End of mission 9.....
========================================================================
====Mission 10 - "Two lights will open the sealed door and
guide the hunter
to the deep underground."
========================================================================
====
From the start, run to the intersection, you will see a closed
door. There
are two orbs on both sides that you need to hit very fast. Equip
the quick
heart, hit one orb, then rush to the other. You should be able
to get the
gate open fast enough. After that, strike the blue crystal to
open up the
hatch that is in the center of the intersection. When you are
running to
it, you will get sucked down a hole and be forced to face some
Savage Golems,
Demonochorouses, and a boss....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----BOSS - Noctpteran
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
This boss will fly at an unusually high altitude in the air, meaning
that
you will probably want to use guns instead of your sword. It will
occasionally
lay Larva that will turn into big worms as well. Keep constantly
jumping
to avoid the Larva that may be beneath you. After you kill it
you will have
to fight the remaining Larva, after that stand in the white beam
and press
O to be teleported to the surface. Then just fall down the hatch
and that's
the end of mission 10.
========================================================================
==== Mission 11 - "He wields a spear and is obeyed by the
wolves. His single
eye possesses knowledge and hate. He is the one who brings misfortune."
========================================================================
====
From the start go all the way down the path until you get to a
floor with
tiles that look like brightly colored flowers. Go left here. Go
down the
stairs and through the door. In the next room just jump down to
the bottom,
there will be some Gbusmsira in here, after they are dealt with,
go into the
next room. You will see a blue crystal sitting on top of a central
pillar.
Jump up and hit it enough times so that it spins the room and
makes a new
exit. Jump up and go through the window like structure, follow
the path until
you get to an orb dispenser, hit it to generate orbs. Keep following
the
path, once you go a little ways down the hill, a ball will start
chasing you,
you might want to equip the quick heart for this area, and if
you get touched
by the ball you'll have to fight some enemies. In the next area,
you'll see
a big gigantic meat tenderizer or something like that. Wait for
it to rise
to the ceiling, then go destroy the door, if you don't destroy
it on the first
go, then run back and wait for the ceiling to rise again. Once
through follow
the path and go up the steps. In here, leap up to the platform
on one side
of the wall, then leap up to the next platform, once at the end
of this platform
you should see some floating pink tiles, jump on them. From here,
jump onto
the next set of pink tiles, then jump onto the purple ones, but
beware, they
vanish occasionally. After the purple, land on the pink, then
from the pink
land on the solid platform. Now from this platform you should
see two purple
tiles hovering above you, jump up onto them, then go through the
doorway and
follow the hall to the end, the submachine guns are stored here.
Run back
the way you came and land on the platform below the purple tiles,
jump from
that platform to the next one until you see two more purple tiles
hovering.
Jump from those tiles over to the next platform, then jump to
the next one
that has the blue crystal on it. Hit the blue crystal so it activates.
Now
jump down to the bottom and walk onto the red tile, it will rise
all the way
to the ceiling, jump off to the platform and go through the door.
Follow
the path until you come to three statues, you will have to break
all of them
to get the heart in the next room, weaken all of them so they
have 1-2 hits
left, then just break them all and use the quick heart plus Devil
Trigger
to reach the heart before they regenerate. Now go down the hole
in the room
with the heart and you'll get a cut scene of the next boss, Bolverk....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Bolverk
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Bolverk is accompanied with Freki and Geri. I usually go for Bolverk
first
but you can always get rid of the annoying Freki and Geri if you
want to.
Generally, just dodge his slashes and plink at him from a distance
with your
guns. When you get close to him and he disintegrates into a blue
cloud, he
will come down from above with a surprise attack, you also must
watch out
for when he decides to use the Stinger on you. After he dies go
through the
door and mission 11 is complete...
========================================================================
====
Mission 12 - "When the hunter and the protector meet, the
last mystery will
be given and received."
========================================================================
====
Run down the path and you'll be in a BIG circular chamber, you'll
also get
a cut scene of the next boss...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Big gigantic red platform thingy with Sargassos on all
sides....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
I couldn't think of a better name, not to mention that it doesn't
show a life
bar. The first thing is that you always have to walk with it or
you'll get
zapped by the electric field. Just watch out for the Sargassos
and leap into
the air and destroy the purple diamonds that hover around it to
kill it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
After you kill it drop down through the hole in the floor. In
here collect
the green orb and go through the doorway. Follow the path to the
end and
go through the door, in here you'll meet Lucia and she will give
you the
Arcanna. After that you'll get a cut scene of Plutonian rising
up again...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Plutonian
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Basically, you can just stay back far enough out of range of its
Ball and
Chain and you'll never get it. After a while some Agonofinis will
show up
to help it, and laser beams will also appear. The laser beams
are pretty
easy to dodge, so just concentrate on Plutonian and you should
be all right.
You might need to run up to him to get him to stop twirling his
Ball and Chain
that deflects your shots. After that, take the elevator up and
have a cut
scene with Matier. She will ask you to go help Lucia with Arius.
End of
mission 12.
========================================================================
====Mission 13 - "The hunter will learn to feel with a leap
of faith."
========================================================================
====
Lucia has been taken prisoner by Arius, you know what to do.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Arius
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Don't worry about Arius's minions, just ignore them and go for
Arius. When
Arius fires his magnum, just dodge from side to side, when he
starts making
sea-urchin type shadow balls, just stand back and fire at him,
when he
teleports just run up to wherever he is and beat on him. Shouldn't
take long
before he falls. After that, you get a cool cut scene of Dante
saving Lucia.
End of mission 13....
========================================================================
====
Mission 14 - "Four lights will open the door to the future
and the past."
========================================================================
====
You will get a cut scene where Lucia tells Dante that she was
created by Arius,
Dante also says that he will find a way into the tower and finish
off Arius.
Does the area you're in right now look familiar? It should, because
it's the
exact same area from mission 1, just demonetized a bit. From the
start go
straight, up, north, whatever, from where you are, until you reach
a three-way
intersection. From here, you will see a post sticking out on the
corner of
one of the rails, you need to get on top of that post, it might
take a few
tries, but you need to. From the top of the post leap to the top
of the house,
if you're not good with jumping just slap the aerial heart on
and fly up there.
Once on top of the house there is a big blue crystal hovering
in mid-air,
hit it until it activates, and it'll slowly start to bring the
world to a
demonic place. Now just drop off of the house and go up the path,
jump over
the wall yet again. Follow the path a LONG ways until you find
the window
you leapt through in the first mission and had the cut scene with
the Msira.
Jump through the window, you can obtain Merciless and find the
blue crystal
in here as well. Once you have both of these things, you can leave
through
the window you came in through. Keep following the path the way
you were
going. There will be an orb dispenser on your right, after that
keep going.
Once you reach where the path splits keep going the way you were
going, at
the end there will be another blue crystal, activate it. Go back
and take
the other path this time, follow it all the way down until you
see an opening
on your left, this is a little ways before you reach the time
statue. Go
down the path all the way until you reach a three-way intersection.
Above
in the center of the intersection you will see a blue crystal,
this is the
final one. Activate it then take the right path through the door.
In here,
hit the ball in the center of the room, it will shoot a laser
which
unleashes...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - PHANTOM!!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
He's big, he's bad, he's back, and still packin' all the annoying
attacks
from the first game. If you beat the first game this should be
a BREEZE for
you. If you didn't I'll list some strategies. First off, when
he puts his
head to the ground and see steam rising up from the ground, dodge
whichever
way you want, when his mouth starts to foam with fire, dodge to
avoid the
fire blast he will send. When he raises his tail, dodge from side
to side
when you see him strike, if he sweeps his tail along the ground
jump up into
the air so he can't grab you. His weak points are his head and
his back.
After he falls you're done with mission 14....
========================================================================
====
Mission 15 - "They swarm like clouds and desperately seek
the hunter's dark
blood."
========================================================================
====
This is really straightforward, just hit the thing in the center
of the room
again, and kill all of the enemies in three minutes. There is
only one thing
in this mission that you need, the Chrono heart, look for a lump
that is
grayish and knock enemies into it, that's all you need to do.
The enemies
will consist of Agonofinis, Mortifinis, Terrofinis, Msiras, Blood
Goats,
Puias, and Goatlings.
========================================================================
====Mission 16 - "Chaos ripens as the hunter runs towards
the sky."
========================================================================
====
From the start there will be a gray door in front of you, check
it and you'll
have to kill a certain amount of Blood Goats. After that the hand
in front
of the door will be disposed of. Through the door there is an
elevator, once
in it you will face a barrage of enemies, after they are all gone,
exit the
elevator. Go up hallway toward the time statue, in this room take
a left
and go down the path to the door. At the first three-way intersection
just
keep going straight, follow the path to the door and go through
it. In here,
there will be little purple balls like in mission 12, just dodge
them by
jumping, at the end collect the Sacrilege, and leave the way you
came. Once
you exit just go straight when you get to the three-way intersection
again.
In this room just head up the path and you'll get a little cut
scene, seems
our little friend is back, and with a vengeance...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Bolverk
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Same exact strategy as before....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
After he is dead collect the sacrilege and put it in the doorway.
When you
exit go straight at the intersection, and turn right down the
newly formed
hallway, kill all the enemies in here and collect the sacrilege.
Put it in
the doorway, now just leave, go back the way you came, except
this time at
the intersection take a left, go all the way down the path and
into the next
room. Once you're at the end of the path you'll come across a
room with a
blue crystal and four goat-shaped statues, activate the crystal
and the
statues will come to life. After they are all dead, you can collect
the Frost
heart. Leave the way you came. Go back all the way you came, into
the hallway
that had the three sacs and everything, (southern part of the
map) once in
here, go all the way to the southern part of the room to the doorway,
press
O to go through it, you'll now be in a different elevator, with
a new barrage
of enemies. Once you exit the elevator, collect the green orb
and go in the
doorway at the end of the hall....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----BOSS - TRISMAGIA
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
He's one hard boss, ESPECIALLY in DMD. When the fire face launches
its flame
missiles, just dodge them, when the fire face comes down and sweeps
a beam
of fire across the floor, just run from one side to the other.
When the frost
face launches rocks of ice at you, just jump around to avoid them,
when it
comes down and breaths frost at you, just stay away from it, when
it launches
icicle pillars at the field, just destroy them, they make targeting
a
NIGHTMARE. When the electric face launches balls of electricity
just dodge
to one side until they're all gone, when he comes down and breaths
O's of
electricity, just stand still. When they combine to form one face
just hit
him with whatever guns you have. When he uses he super beam on
you, you have
to dodge at the EXACT right moment to not be hit; it's one of
the hardest
attacking the game to dodge. After he dies, step into the purple
light, and
mission 16 is over.
========================================================================
====Mission 17 - "Evil must be opposed and destroyed."
========================================================================
====
Run down the hall and go through the door. You'll be presented
with a cut
scene of Arius absorbing some of Argosax's power. After that....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Arius
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Same strategy as before, just watch out for his secretaries. After
that,
mission 17 is finished.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
========================================================================
====
Mission 18 - "The hunter shall surpass all who came before
him."
========================================================================
====
You will get a cut scene of Lucia begging to be killed for fear
she might
turn on the humans, Dante doesn't go through with it though, and
the demon
gate is opened. Lucia and Dante debate who will go, Dante says
that he will
leave it to fate, and gives hit coin a toss, fate says that Dante
goes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Argosax the Chaos
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
First off kill the Nefasturris head, same strategy as before,
next I prefer
to go left and kill the gorilla boss, then I go and kill Phantom.
After that
I take on the tentacle, now here's a trick that I discovered when
fighting
him. Stand exactly opposite him so he's trying to do an over head
smash on
you, stand a little to the right of his tentacle, and he'll NEVER
hit you,
easy part of this boss. Next I kill the Taurus boss, here's another
little
trick I found, when you walk over to him, start holding R1, RIGHT
when you
can target him, stand back as far as you can and he'll never hit
you. After
that I go and kill the Eagle boss from DMC1, if you've played
DMC1 you'll
be able to do this in a second, if not, when it creates vertical
bars of red
electricity just move a little bit left or right to avoid them.
When he
creates horizontal bars of red electricity just jump over them
and evade them
however possible. When he creates bars of electricity that start
out and
sweep in, just jump over them.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
After all of this it's.....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - THE DESPAIR EMBODIED!!!!
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
First of all, I want to point something out; this guy has the
EXACT same voice
as Nelo Angelo from DMC1. Anyway, when he walks casually he's
invincible
to anything. If you get close to him he will probably teleport
behind your
back and do an attack, just dodge left or right to avoid whatever
he's going
to do to you. If he hovers in the air and launches homing beams
at you just
dodge left or right when they're going to hit you. If he does
this attack
overhead you just simply have to run and keep ahead so you don't
get caught
in the rain of electricity. After he dies you will get an AWESOME
cut scene
of Dante finishing him off, congratulations, you've just completed
DMC2! Now
go and try to beat Lucia, or if you've already done that, go to
hard mode!!
Have fun!!!

II. Lucia's Walkthrough
========================================================================
====Mission 1 - "Toward the south, the protector will find
the time."
========================================================================
====
You will start on a rooftop, you can break the small chimneys
for orbs, there
is also an orb dispenser down a path if you want to collect all
the orbs it
can offer. From the start head north, eventually you will see
a door that
is guarded by a white hand, to open the door you will need 45
red orbs. You
can obtain these by destroying the small chimneys. After you are
through
the door, follow the path. When you get to the end of the path,
go through
the small doorway on your left, you will be given a cut scene
that introduces
the first enemy in the game, the Agonofinis. These are pretty
easy to kill,
just run up and hit them or stay back at a distance. After they
are all
destroyed, there will be a window in the up in the wall by the
doorway you
entered. You must jump twice to reach the opening. Once you have
jumped
through the window follow the path past the Time statue (the time
statue
provides a station for upgrades). In this area you can either
go up on the
rooftops or stay on the main road, you can go whichever way you
chose. Just
keep following the path/rooftops, if you're on the road you'll
encounter a
wall that you'll need to leap over. Eventually you will come across
a
three-way intersection, when you get here take a right and follow
the road.
Go past the bridge and you'll get a cut scene that introduces
the Savage
Golems. The best way to deal with them is to attack them with
your swords
at close range, then when they're down to their legs, stand back
and use your
knives. After that, head up the stairs past the train, you will
see a iron
door in a broken chunk of wall, you'll just need to leap over
the wall to
continue. Now just keep heading up the path, when you come to
the cathedral,
simply walk up to the door to complete the mission.
========================================================================
====
Mission 2 - "The aerial heart will give the protector the
chance to reach
the skies."
========================================================================
====
You will start off in a room with a Angel Trigger recharge station.
There
also is a blue crystal on the second floor, you can activate it
by hitting
it. After you activate it two Goatlings will come and attack you,
if they
are on the ground just attack them with your swords, if they are
in the air
attack them with your knives. After they are dead the field around
the aerial
heart will disappear and you can obtain it. After that, equip
the aerial heart
and fly up to the ledge in the ceiling. In this next room run
up the long
twisting stairs until you encounter some Agonofinis, kill them
if you want.
Overhead of the platform you are on there will be a ledge with
a statue on
it, you can break it and obtain the darts. After that just continue
on up
the stairs until you get to the top. At the top you will see a
large circular
disc, just jump on top of it to go to the next room. In here you
will see
a Angel Trigger recharge station, fill up your AT and you will
also see a
blue crystal in the air. Activate it by flying up with aerial
heart and hit
it. After it activates the disc in the ceiling will lower and
you can fly
up to the upper room. Puias will also come when you activate the
blue crystal.
Once in the upper room run along the catwalk to your right and
jump up to
the door. In this room you will face your first boss....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----BOSS - Tartarussian
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
You can dodge left or right when he throws his steel balls at
you. When you
get too close to him he will swipe at you with his arms, just
stay away and
throw knives at him until you get some AT, when you get the AT
run in and
hit him a couple of times then run back and throw knives, just
keep repeating
this until he is dead. After he is dead go into the small room
and collect
the Arcana Spada.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
After this go to the left side of the room and go in the door,
you'll now
be on the rooftop. There are some orbs up here that you can collect,
after
you have them, jump off the roof to collect the last of the orbs.
Mission
2 is complete.
========================================================================
====
Mission 3 - "She has many arms but only one heart, as she
waits for the
protector deep in the water."
========================================================================
====
The mission will start with a cut scene with Matier, you will
also be asked
to find the last piece in the ruin. From the start follow the
path that you
are on, it will lead you to two paths, you can go south to fight
some
Agonofinis, find some orbs, and get a glimpse of the tower you
will be seeing
MUCH of later. After that, go north, you will be given a cut scene
of a
Goatling that can cast blue flames beneath your feet and a LONG
path to him.
There will be Agonofinis along the path, just ignore them for
now, your main
target is the Goatling. After you have killed the Goatling, go
in the white
door on your left. Go down the path, you can get the orbs on the
ledges if
you want, after that keep going down the path, you'll have to
fight a lot
of Msira here. After they are gone, attack the debris that is
blocking the
doorway. Go down the path that is after the doorway and you'll
now be in
the harbor. You can get the orbs that are on the face of the cliff
to your
left, there are also some orbs on the tops of the small buildings
as well.
Keep following the path until you get to a door, go in it. Once
inside you
will see a door with a white hand guarding it, and some Agonofinis
will appear,
kill all of them. After that the hand will disappear and you can
go inside.
Inside here there is a Time statue, a gold orb on the ceiling,
and the quick
heart. After you have the quick heart, go back the way you came
except this
time don't take the upper road, take the road that borders the
water on the
harbor. Keep following it until you get to a gate, go through
it. Continue
down the docks until you see another door, go through this one.
In here you'll
get a cut scene of the next boss.....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Jokatgulm
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
She has four tentacles that she will try to hit you with, as well
as breathing
poison. To evade the tentacles just jump when they do a sweep
and dodge when
they try to smash you, you can do a left or right dodge, if you
get too close
to them they will coil up and hit you so it is best to stay away
and hit them
with your knives. When you kill one of them and have enough Angel
Trigger,
jump up to the main tentacle with the head and slash away, when
you're out
of Angel Trigger just jump back and repeat. She may also generate
a type
of force field so when she does this just stay away, she usually
does this
after you hit her a couple of times. After she is dead collect
all of the
orbs and you go through the newly opened door. This is the end
of mission
3.
========================================================================
====
Mission 4 - "Dodge flame tubes and navigate through the cracked
city streets
so that when the time comes, your path will be shown."
========================================================================
====
Ah, the big city. From the start run south until you get to an
extremely
wide area. You will get a cut scene of a barrier forming, and
it's time for
a boss battle....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Orangguerra
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
This boss will jump at you from above, look for its shadow to
see when you
will need to dodge. When you get close to it, it will try to grab
you, do
an overhead smash, or swipe at you with one arm, all of these
can be dodged
by jumping or dodging. When you shorten his health a bit some
Puia will come
and try to help him. Also he will occasionally cast a ball of
air at you,
very unfriendly air, you can either jump or dodge to the side,
he will usually
cast these when you are at a distance.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
After he is dead go down the tunnel that was behind the barrier,
it should
be to your left. When you exit, run left along the curved road,
you'll be
given another cut scene of a boss....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Infested Tank
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
The easiest thing to do is just run up and hit him, he can't even
touch you
when you do this. You just have to keep an eye on the Puia that
will circle
overhead. After he is dead it's the end of mission 4.
========================================================================
====
Mission 5 - "The protector must rise to confront destiny
head-on."
========================================================================
====
When you start, run south, down the steps, and across the floor.
When you're
on the other side, jump up to the top catwalk, there will be a
door up there,
go through it. In here, just run through the hall to the double
white doors
and go through them. You will now be in a gigantic hangar, there
will be
a plane in the center, there will be a hatch open in the back
of it that you
can enter through. Inside the plane you can destroy the crates
for a new
weapon, the Cranky bombs. After you have collected these, exit
the plane
and go south, down, in that general direction. When you reach
this side of
the hangar go left, you will see a small room. Inside this room
there will
be a blue crystal, activate it. It will restore power to all rooms,
there
will also be an Angel Trigger recharge station as well. Leave
this room and
backtrack all the way to the first room. In here, jump down off
the catwalk
and go to the other side of the room, run or jump up the stairs
and go right.
You will see a metal shutter, go through it. In this area, just
run a little
ways down the steps and you'll get a cut scene of Lucia automatically
receiving the evil heart, this heart drains health so you're going
to want
to ditch it fast. Keep moving down the steps and stay on this
path, run all
the way to the end and go through the door. In this room there
is a blue
crystal right in front of you, activate it and it will release
the next heart.
Now proceed ALL the way down the massive spiraling corridor, go
past the first
door that you see at the bottom and head for the AT recharge station,
fill
up your AT then go through the door on your right. Equip the aerial
heart
and fly up the huge cylinder and at the top you can acquire the
flame heart.
Once you have the flame heart, go all the way back down to the
door that you
saw. In here leap to your left down the many staircases to the
bottom of
the room, you will be in a huge empty ditch. To your north there
will be
a small platform with a door on it, leap onto the platform and
go through
the door. In here you will see a burn victim on a stretcher. Go
past him
into the next small room that you see, there won't be a solid
door but there
will be a doorway. You will see a huge blue circle on the wall,
walk up to
it and the evil heart will automatically be inserted. Now you
don't have
to worry about that anymore. After that, go to the right side
of the room,
you will see a door, go through it, you are now on some train
tracks. Run
all the way south and you will see an elevator, jump onto it and
it will
automatically start to ascend. There will be some Flambats about
halfway
up the ride. When you have disembarked, go south, jump up the
stairs, and
go through the door. You will get a cut scene of Arius disembarking
from
his helicopter. End of mission 5.
========================================================================
====
Mission 6 - "The protector, the king, and the truth."
========================================================================
====
When the mission starts you will receive a cut scene where Lucia
discovers
that she was created by Arius and is just a defect. After Arius
leaves he
will plunge you down a hole and you'll be forced to face some
Savage Golems
and Demonochorouses. After they have been dealt with, you will
have to face
a boss....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Noctpteran
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
This boss will fly at an unusually high altitude in the air, meaning
that
you will probably want to use knives instead of your swords. It
will
occasionally lay Larva that will turn into big worms as well.
Keep constantly
jumping to avoid the Larva that may be beneath you. After you
kill it you
will have to fight the remaining Larva, after that stand in the
white beam
and press O to be teleported to a bridge over an underwater chamber.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Jump off to the right and swim to the end of the chamber, then
turn right
and look for a tunnel, you can also jump off to the left and look
for an
underwater door as well if you want. When you enter the tunnel,
it's the
end of mission 6.
========================================================================
====
Mission 7 - "Holy and filthy at the same time, some mysteries
should be
extinguished."
========================================================================
====
Proceed forward down the water-filled tunnel. Close to the end
there is a
tunnel that extends straight up, swim up that one. When you surface,
jump
out and run through the door. In this next room, drop down off
of the ledge
you're on, after you kill the many mancers in here you can collect
the Aqua
heart. After you have the aqua heart go down the tunnel to your
right. At
the end of the tunnel leap down the hole. Go into the next room
and you'll
be given a cut scene of where you need to go, it will also show
you a tunnel.
That tunnel is exactly above where you are now, so just swim straight
up.
In the next room you will notice some stone orbs with up side
down pyramids
below them. You must strike all of them before the allotted amount
of time
is up. After you have struck them all (it is a bit tricky) you
will see tiles
that lead up to the top of the central pillar. Start ascending
the tiles
deftly, and when you reach the top you will see a blue crystal
orb in the
center, activate it, and the current in the previous room will
be stopped.
Backtrack to that room, then swim down the tunnel the red orb
is by. In the
next room there will be a Time statue and two green orbs, after
you do all
that is needed there, go into the next room to face....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Tateobesu
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
For this boss you can either use the bow gun and aim very well,
or you can
get yourself into a corner and use Cranky bombs which stun him
and he'll never
be able to survive. When he charges after you with his mouth open,
just turn
and swim the other way and up. When he tries to use his electric
tail on
you, just don't be near him when he does it, he will usually do
this after
he charges. After he is dead swim up the hatch in the ceiling,
and mission
7 is complete.
========================================================================
====
Mission 8 - "Defeat the prisoner in the abyss and hand the
hunter the
mysterious vessel."
========================================================================
====
When the mission starts swim straight up into the next room. In
this room
just swim straight up and you'll see another cylinder-like tunnel.
Swim up
here and you'll jump out of the water, you just have to navigate
up the
platforms in the sides of the walls to get to the top. At the
top, look around
for a statue that will say "reflect my power." You're
going to want to be
a good distance away, and when it launches a fireball, hit it
back with your
swords, after three fireballs the statue breaks and water fills
the room
allowing you to go to the next floor. Once you're out of the water
and on
the next floor, there will be an orb dispenser, hit it to get
the orbs, then
run down the tunnel and jump down the hole into the water yet
again. In here,
go down to the bottom and through the door, now swim all the way
to the end
of this hallway. At the end you will see another tunnel leading
up, take
it. At the top, jump out of the water and go through the door.
In this room,
it is just like the 'blue flame' puzzle from mission 2 with Dante,
basically,
check the blue square on the second floor to activate the puzzle,
then jump
back down and step on the yellowish tile. Now you just have to
destroy all
of the blue orbs to raise some platforms. Now jump up the platforms
to reach
the door. In here run down the hallway to the Time statue. There
are also
orbs in this hallway that can be broken and will release the barrier
around
the next heart. After that, run down the next hallway in the room
with the
Time statue. Once through the door, you will have to face a boss...
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Plutonian
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
He is the exact same thing as the boss you fought on mission 2,
just with
the occasional Agonofinis helping him, and laser beams. The laser
beams are
fairly easy to dodge so I won't even touch on that, just follow
the strategy
provided in mission 2 and you're going to be ok. After he falls,
go collect
the Arcana Chalice and you'll get a cut scene where you meet Dante
again.
End of mission 8.
========================================================================
====
Mission 9 - "To prove its own identity, the protector points
a blade toward
the decayed king."
========================================================================
====
When the mission begins you'll get a cut scene where Lucia sneaks
into Arius's
skyscraper, you are found out by Arius and you're going to have
to fight
him....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Arius
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
Don't worry about Arius's minions, just ignore them and go for
Arius. When
Arius fires his magnum, just dodge from side to side, when he
starts making
sea-urchin type shadow balls, just stand back and throw whatever
weapon at
him, when he teleports just run up to wherever he is and beat
on him. Shouldn't
take long before he falls. After that, you get a cool cut scene
of Dante
saving Lucia. End of mission 9....
========================================================================
====
Mission 10 - "Four lights will open the sealed door, but
will also invite
the creepy to play."
========================================================================
====
From the start proceed, straight or north, you should see a blue
crystal which
is VERY obvious to see, activate it. Next, proceed up the path
and leap over
the wall. Keep following the path for a while until you see the
next blue
orb, there is also a gold orb on the ledge to your left as well.
After
activating the orb, keep moving along the path. Right after you
pass the
narrow alley with 5 red orbs and about a 5-foot drop off, look
to your right.
There is another blue crystal in the small area, activate it and
keep moving
along the path. When you reach the part where you can go two ways,
take the
north path. When you're a little ways back from the time statue
(you should
be able to see a little of it), there will be a path to your right,
it is
marked with a medium-sized red orb. When you reach the end of
the path and
are at a three-way intersection, there will be a ledge in the
building to
your right. The ledge has the last blue crystal on it, activate
it, then
take the left path at the intersection and go through the door.
In here,
hit the big ball in the center of the room and it will trigger
a cut scene.
Now for the next boss fight against.....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Phantom.
His weak points are his head and
his back.
After he falls you're done with mission 10....
========================================================================
====
Mission 11 - "They swarm like clouds and desperately seek
the protector's
blood."
========================================================================
====
This is really straightforward, just hit the thing in the center
of the room
again, and kill all of the enemies in three minutes. There is
only one thing

========================================================================
====
Mission 12 - "The protector scales the skyscraper believing
in its own reason
for existence."
========================================================================
====
When you start, check the elevator in front of you and a hand
will appear.
You will have to slaughter multiple goats in order for you to
break the hand.
After you have broken the hand take the elevator up. In here there
will be
a barrage of enemies, after disposing of them and the elevator
reaches the
pre-determined floor, you can exit. In here, run north toward
the Time
statue, once you're at the Time statue, you can run down another
hallway,
go through the door at the end. Run down this hallway, and when
you come
to the intersection just keep going straight, go down the next
hall and enter
the door at the end. In here run down the short blue hallway and
kill all
of the enemies that appear, after they are all gone you there
will be a
sacrilege on the floor. Pick it up and put it in the door that
you came
through. When coming back, go straight again at the first intersection
you
see, and go through the door at the end of the hallway. Now in
this room
you must jump over the purple balls to reach the sacrilege, it
can be a bit
tedious but practice makes perfect. After you have the sacrilege,
put it
in the door you came in through. This time when you come to the
first
intersection go straight, and while you're running through the
hall, look
to the left for a newly open hallway, go down it and enter the
door. Time
for a boss fight....

----
BOSS - TRISMAGIA
When they combine to form one face
just hit
him with whatever ranged weapons you have. When he uses he super
beam on
you, you have to dodge at the EXACT right moment to not be hit;
it's one of
the hardest attacks in the game to dodge.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
After Trismagia dies, go through the door at the south side of
the room.
You'll be in another elevator again, with another barrage of enemies,
kill
them all and wait for the elevator to stop ascending. In the next
hallway
collect the green orb, go through the door into the next room.
Run up to
the desk to begin the next cut scene. Mission 12 complete.

BOSS - Possessed Arius
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
If he dives at you just jump over him. If you attack him up close
for too
long a time he will either swipe you away or pull a lariat on
you. Watch
out for the homing purple orbs, you can dodge them or destroy
them with your
knives. When Arius floats up into the air just get behind him
and you'll
avoid all of his attacks. When he digs his tentacles into the
ground just
jump and throw daggers constantly. It shouldn't take too long
before he dies.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
He now creates a huge gorge for you to fight him, and mutates
into a much
more fearsome form....
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
BOSS - Arius-Argosax
------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
This guy has got to be one of the most EASIEST bosses I have EVER
seen. When
he gets close to you just jump on his back and jump over him,
then retreat
while throwing knives to the other side of the gorge. When he
gets close
to you again just jump over him, way too easy than I expected....
Congratulations!!! You've just beaten Lucia's mode! Go try Dante's
now if
you want or try hard, or maybe even LMD/DMD!!!
